A note on concerts and concert numbering: The numbers
above are taken from
the original programs. There was always controversy about whether the
"Composers Unleashed" concert should have been considered a
Composers' Cafeteria event, and thus given a number. There is also controversy
about whether the original "Blue Plate Special" concert (presented within
the context of a political concert-marathon) counted as a full
concert. Due to currents of bickering, "Eighteenth Concert number one"
was declared at the time of "Eighteenth Concert number two"
to have been the seventeenth.
Finally,
I don't have programs for a concerts 16 and 17; presumably 17 is
"Eighteenth Concert number one" (the "Let's count `Unleashed' as
a concert" faction becoming militant). But what about the sixteenth concert?
