I'm celebrating the New Year by finally figuring out how, goddammit, to edit this page. Hurray for me.

I am now resuming teaching voice lessons. Get in on it--your first session is half-off! Conquer your nervousness,get your confidence back. I can teach ANYBODY. (You'd be surprised.) I teach beginners, professionals and groups and give coaching for your voice and acting auditions.
In the service of the Dark Gods, I will once more jump through flaming hoops of over-commitment. The Sunday Balkan group is on hiatus for now-- I haven't given up on finding time for it!
Presently the entire Plonsey Family Circus is going on tour to support yours truly at The Grand Tetons Music Festival in Jackson Hole WY. Ian "Scots Hot Stuff" Robertson directing the choir! Donald "Scottish Dreamboat" Runnicles conducting! The San Francisco Boys' Choir! (Cleveland "Long Boy" Plonsey is in SFBC but not on this show) Mahler! Kodaly! Verdi! Schubert! Faure! With fabulous musicians, I get to sing fancy classical music in a long black dress, which I can't find right now and when I do, odds are
a.) the kittens peed on it, b.) moldgot it c.) moths got it or d.) all of the above. Oh well.
We are leaving on Wed. July 12th and returnig July 29th 2006.
Also I'm collaborating on an ultracool multi-disciplinary work called "DROP" with Dandelion Dance Theater--go see them! Helmed by Kimiko Guthrie and Eric Kupers, the comany has an extraordinary component, The Naked Project, which is exactly what it sounds like, and is pioneering groundbreaking choreography besides. I met Eric and Kimmi through 10 PM Dream, blurbed below.

Saturday, october 29, 2005 was marked indelibly by a double-header of shows--The 10 PM Dream, a dance performance piece choreographed by Della Davidson with music by Richard Marriott at Mondavi Center for the Arts in Davis was followed by a rollicking 90 mph drive back to Berkeley, where I got to do a set at the Murder Ballads Annual show at Starry Plough. 10 PM Dream, an adult theatrical staging of dark fairy tale-themed poems from TRANSFORMATIONS by Anne Sexton featured leather-clad singing by Mantra and other brilliant singers, dancers and actors.
